Suzi – the first female bass player to become a major rock star – was surprised by Michael at the end of a concert at the London Palladium.
Among those paying tribute to the American singer-songwriter – whose hits include Devil Gate Drive and Can the Can – are fellow musicians Alvin Stardust, Noddy Holder, Roy Wood and Chrissie Hynde.
