The brilliant Ralph Bates stars as John Lacey, a middle-aged man starting his life over
again after discovering his wife has left him in this poignant sitcom, from the pen of
John ‘Only Fools and Horses’ Sullivan. Forced to find new lodgings, the lonely and
divorced John attends the 1-2-1 Singles Club and tries to bond with the other members.
Unfortunately, though, they’re mostly social misfits.
