`Boomers’ takes a look at life in the golden years for three couples living in Norfolk resort Thurnemouth. Alan and Joyce are ready to begin the retirement period of their lives but don’t see eye to eye on how to deal with the situation; Alan wants to slow down and relax, while Joyce wants to have a busy social life with friends. For John and Maureen, who live in their gadget-filled dream house, 60 is the new 40. Then there are Trevor and Carol who, after living together for 30 years, have such a lack of communication that if one went away for a weekend, the other one might not even notice their absence. In the end, each couple take a look at who they’ve ended up with and must decide whether or not to spend the rest of their life with their mate.
